Epocement S40

ABOUT THE PRODUCT

EPOCEMENT S40 is a cement-based, fiber-reinforced plaster product used for coating modified polymerized thermal insulation boards. It complies with the requirements of AZS 039-2000 (TS 11140-1993) "Adhesives - Cement-based (hydraulic binder) adhesives for tiles, ceramics, and floor tiles."

APPLICATION AREAS

This product is used for: coating thermal insulation boards in cladding works; and for coating surfaces before painting on reinforced concrete surfaces.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Surface Preparation:

The surface where EPOCEMENT S40 will be applied should be solid, dry, dust-free, clean, and level. The surface must be completely cleaned of any oil, rust, and paraffin residues that may weaken adhesion. Any cracks of 5 mm or 20 mm in depth should be repaired 2 days in advance with EPOCEMENT S40 repair mixture or a similar standard-compliant product. If the temperature of the surface exceeds 25°C, it should be dampened.

Mix Preparation:

Gradually add 25 kg of dry mix to 5.5-6.5 liters of clean water in a container and mix for 3-5 minutes until all lumps are dissolved. Wait for 3-5 minutes to allow the mix to set, then mix again for 30 seconds to make the product ready for use.

Application:

Apply a coat of EPOCEMENT S40 on the surface of the thermal insulation boards that have been adhered and fixed with EPOCEMENT Y40. Embed the plaster mesh (net) into the first coat. Then apply a second coat of EPOCEMENT S40. Once EPOCEMENT S40 has reached the required hardness, it can be painted with a protective facade paint.

Recommendations:

After applying the adhesive, the thermal insulation boards must be mechanically fixed with dowels (nails) to the surface. Ensure that the temperature of the environment where the adhesive is used is between +5°C and +30°C. The product should not be used in hot, rainy, or windy conditions. Surfaces covered with thermal insulation boards should be protected from sun exposure, wind, and rain for 24 hours. Do not add water or new product to a mix that has started to dry.

CONSUMPTION

The consumption of EPOCEMENT S40 plaster is 4.5 kg/m² for a thickness of 3 mm. Approximately 5.0-5.5 m² of surface can be coated with 20 kg of EPOCEMENT S40 plaster.

STORAGE

Unopened bags can be stored for up to 12 months in a dry environment, on wooden pallets, with a maximum of 10 bags stacked.

WARNINGS

EPOCEMENT S40 is a complex mixture. If it comes into contact with skin or eyes, wash immediately with water. Do not add any substances not mentioned in the usage instructions. The indicators provided are based on tests conducted at a temperature of +23°C ±2°C and 50% ±5% humidity. These indicators may vary depending on conditions.
