ABOUT THE PRODUCT

A tile and other surface tile adhesive for vertical and horizontal surfaces. A high-quality, one-component, gray-colored ceramic adhesive based on cement, enriched with additives that enhance the product's usability. Complies with AZS 039-2000 (TS 11140-1993) "Adhesives - Cement-based (hydraulic binder) for tiles and floor tiles" standard requirements.

APPLICATION AREAS

This tile adhesive is used for:

Bonding tile and other covering materials on surfaces such as concrete, plaster, and floor plaster in both indoor and outdoor spaces.

Re-tiling over old tiles without removing them.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Surface Preparation: The surfaces to be used should be solid, dry, clean, and properly measured. Any oil or paraffin residues that weaken adhesion should be completely removed. If there are cracks or voids deeper than 5-6 mm on the surface, they should be filled with Epocement S 40 repair mixture or another similar repair mixture produced according to standards, one day before. The surface should be primed with BINDER primer or another similar product produced according to standards before use.

Mixing: Gently pour 25 kg of the powder mixture into 6.0 – 6.5 liters of water and mix until no lumps remain. Wait 3-5 minutes for the mixture to self-hold, then mix again before use.

Application: Spread the mixture on the surface with the flat side of the trowel. Then, comb the mixture applied to the surface with the notched side of the trowel according to the size of the tiles. For large tiles, it is recommended to use the combined adhesive method (applying and combing the adhesive on both the surface and the back of the covering tile). The waiting time after combing the mixture should not exceed 20 minutes. If the mixture on the surface skins over, it should be scraped off and a new layer of mixture should be applied and combed before laying the tiles. The prepared mixture should be used within 3 hours. It is not recommended to use mixtures that have exceeded their usage time or have formed a crust. Grouting work should be carried out on walls after 48 hours and on floors after 48 hours.

Recommendations: When using Epomix Economic tile adhesive, ensure that the ambient temperature is between +5°C and +30°C. Avoid use in hot (above +30°C), rainy, and windy conditions. Ceramic tiles with high water absorption should be saturated with water before use. Do not add water or adhesive to the mixture that has exceeded its usage time. Clean all tools and equipment with water after use.

CONSUMPTION

Depending on the thickness of the applied EPOMIX ECONOMIC ceramic adhesive and the size of the trowel notches, the amount of dry mix needed per m² (kg):

25 kg Bag:

1 mm thickness: 1.28 kg/m² (for a 6 mm notch), 1.94 kg/m² (for an 8 mm notch), 2.46 kg/m² (for a 10 mm notch)

Water Required:

6 mm notch: 6 liters

8 mm notch: 8 liters

10 mm notch: 10 liters

STORAGE PERIOD AND CONDITIONS

Can be stored in unopened bags, in a dry environment, up to 12 months, stacked 10 bags high on wooden pallets.

WARNINGS

Given that the adhesive is cement-based and enriched with additives, rinse immediately with water if it comes into contact with skin or eyes; do not add any additional substances not mentioned in the usage instructions; the above indicators are based on laboratory tests at +23°C±2°C and 50%±5% relative humidity. These indicators may vary depending on conditions.
