ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Epomix MG 450 is a high-quality, grey, cement-based, single-component adhesive enriched with chemical additives, designed for marble and granite. It complies with AZS 039 (TS-11140) standards.

APPLICATION AREAS

It is used for adhering natural marble and granite, ceramic, large-sized ceramics, cotto, porcelain tiles, tiles, and similar cladding materials. It can also be applied over old granite and marble without the need for removal in places with heavy foot traffic or vehicle movement, such as shopping centers, hospitals, schools, and workplaces. It is suitable for both interior and exterior surfaces, and it can be adhered to surfaces like concrete, plaster, and floor screed.

ADVANTAGES

It is easy to prepare and apply, allowing easy adhesion of ceramic and other cladding materials from top to bottom, as well as over old marble and granite without removing them. It is resistant to heat and frost.

Surface Preparation

Ensure that the surfaces to be used are solid, dry, clean, and correctly measured. The surface must be thoroughly cleaned of any oil, paraffin, or other residues that may weaken adhesion. If there are cracks or gaps 5-6 mm deep, they should be filled a day before with Eposement S40 repair mixture or other similar repair compounds produced according to standards. Before use, the surface should be primed with BINDER primer or other similar products produced according to standards.

Preparation of the Mixture

Carefully pour 6.0-6.5 liters of water over the 25 kg powder mix and stir until no lumps remain (a low-speed mixer is recommended for mixing). Let the mixture rest for 3-5 minutes, then stir again before use.

Application

Spread the mixture thinly over the surface with the flat side of the trowel. Then, comb the applied mixture with the notched side of the trowel according to the size of the tiles. For large-sized tiles, it is recommended to use the combined adhesion method (applying the adhesive both on the surface and the back of the tile and then combing it). Determine the setting time of the mixture by lightly touching it with your finger. If the mixture sticks to your finger, the tiles can be adhered to the surface. This time should not exceed 30 minutes. Otherwise, if the mixture forms a skin, scrape it off and apply a new layer of adhesive, then comb it again with a notched trowel before adhering the tiles. The prepared mixture should be used within 3 hours. Do not use expired or skinned adhesive. Grouting should be done 24 hours after application on walls and 48 hours on floors.

Recommendations

When using "MG 450" marble-granite adhesive, ensure the ambient temperature is between +5°C and +30°C. Do not use in hot (>30°C), rainy, or windy weather. High water absorption tiles should be soaked in water before use. Do not add water or new dry mix to expired mixtures. Clean all tools and equipment with water after use.

CONSUMPTION

The amount of dry mix used per 1 m² (in kg) depends on the thickness of the adhesive applied and the size of the notched trowel.

STORAGE TIME AND CONDITIONS

Can be stored for up to 12 months in unopened bags in dry conditions, on wooden pallets, with a maximum of 10 bags stacked.

WARNINGS

Considering that "MG 450" marble-granite adhesive is cement-based and enriched with additives, if it comes into contact with the skin or eyes, wash immediately with water. Do not add any substances not mentioned in the instructions. The above specifications are based on laboratory tests conducted at +23°C±2°C temperature and 50% ± 5% humidity. These figures may vary depending on the conditions.
