ABOUT THE PRODUCT

An adhesive for ceramic and other tiles on vertical and horizontal surfaces. It is a high-quality, single-component, grey adhesive, cement-based and enriched with additives that enhance its usability. Complies with AZS 039-2000 (TS 11140-1993) standard "Adhesives – Cement-based (hydraulic binders) for tiles, ceramics, and floor tiles."  

APPLICATION AREAS

This ceramic adhesive is used in:  

- Interior and exterior spaces  

- Adhering facing materials to surfaces such as concrete, plaster, and floor screed  

- Tiling over old tiles without removing them

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS  

Surface preparation: The surface should be solid, dry, clean, and properly sized. It should be completely free from any oils or paraffin residues that could weaken adhesion. Cracks or voids 5-6 mm deep should be filled the day before using Epocement S 40 repair mixture or another standard-compliant repair mixture. The surface must be primed with BINDER primer or another similar product before application.  

Mix preparation: Slowly pour 25 kg of powder into 6.0–6.5 liters of water, stirring until no lumps remain. Let the mixture rest for 3-5 minutes, then stir again before use.  

Application: Spread a thin layer of the mixture on the surface with the flat side of the trowel. Depending on the tile size, comb the applied mixture with the notched side of the trowel. For larger tiles, it is recommended to use the combined method (apply the adhesive to both the surface and the back of the tile, then comb the surface). Do not let the combed adhesive sit for more than 20 minutes. If the surface forms a skin, scrape it off and apply a fresh layer. The prepared mixture should be used within 3 hours. Do not use expired or crusted mixture. Grouting can be started after 24 hours on walls and 48 hours on floors.  

Recommendations: Ensure the ambient temperature is between +5°C and +30°C when using Epomix Standard ceramic adhesive. Avoid using it in hot (above +30°C), rainy, or windy conditions. High-absorption ceramics should be saturated with water before use. Do not add water or adhesive to the expired mixture. Clean all tools and equipment with water after use.

The amount of dry mix per square meter (kg/m²) depends on the thickness of the applied adhesive and the notch size of the trowel:

STORAGE

Unopened bags can be stored for 12 months in a dry environment on wooden pallets, stacked no more than 10 bags high.  

WARNINGS

Since the adhesive is cement-based and enriched with additives, rinse immediately with water if it comes into contact with skin or eyes. Do not add any additives not mentioned in the usage instructions. The above specifications were obtained under laboratory conditions at +23°C±2°C and 50% ±5% humidity, and may vary depending on the conditions.
