Eposeal Hidrostop

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Eposeal Hidrostop is a ready-to-use plugging mortar with a special blend of cement and sand, designed for use in sealing water leaks, installation, and repair work. It enhances adhesion resistance, rapidly expands and hardens when mixed with water, and is used to seal various surfaces.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Surface Preparation

Ensure that the surfaces to be used are sound, dry, durable, dust-free, clean, and properly dimensioned. All types of oil, rust, paraffin residues, paint, and moisture-retaining substances that weaken adhesion must be completely removed, leaving no small fragments. Voids and cracks should be cut to a depth and width of 20 mm, with perpendicular edges. V-shaped voids and sharp-edged cuts are not allowed.

Mixing

Pour the required amount of product into a clean container and add the necessary amount of water within 60 seconds. Wear appropriate gloves and mix for no more than 30 seconds. Do not add any other chemicals to the mixture. Note: In cold weather, use warm or lukewarm water. Mix 0.24-0.28 liters of clean water with 1 kg of Eposeal Hidrostop (the water ratio may vary depending on air temperature).

Application

Chisel water-seeping and cracked areas to at least 20 mm in width and depth. Mix the product with the required amount of water and form a paste. Apply it rapidly to the leaks and cracks. Press firmly with your hand for 60 seconds. Once the product starts to harden, you can gently pull your hand away. For larger voids, repeat the process from the edges towards the center. Immediately after use, clean any excess product from the edges of the voids. The product can also be used to seal gaps between walls and floors. In this case, chisel the gaps to at least 20 mm in width and depth. Clean any wire, cable, wood pieces, and other small particles from the dug area. Fill the gaps with Eposeal Hidrostop. To fix metal anchor bolts or fastening tools to a concrete surface, use a mechanical hole cutter to create a hole larger than the size of the anchor bolts. Clean these holes before using Eposeal Hidrostop. Moisten the holes with the necessary amount of water before application. Then, fill the holes with Eposeal Hidrostop. Insert the metal anchor bolts or fastening tools quickly and apply moisture-retaining products on top.

Recommendations

If the temperature of the environment where Eposeal Hidrostop is used is below +5°C or above +32°C, ensure the necessary temperature is maintained. The surface should be moist for 15 minutes. For dry and highly absorbent surfaces, this period should be 30 minutes. Clean all tools and equipment with water after use. After hardening, the product can only be removed mechanically.
