PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

EPO KONTAKT is a mineral-filled polymer dispersion-based primer used before applying cement-based and gypsum-based plasters on smooth and non-protruding surfaces. Gypsum-based plasters gradually separate from the surface when they react chemically with cement surfaces. EPO KONTAKT is an excellent primer designed to establish a direct bond and achieve a solid surface.

APPLICATION AREAS

Used in:

- Internal spaces, vertical surfaces, and ceilings.

- To increase adhesion resistance of smooth surfaces of gypsum, lime, and cement-based plasters by creating a two-sided contact primer.

- Internal spaces, vertical and horizontal surfaces; concrete ceilings.

- Glass surfaces.

- Surfaces with plasterboard and wood paneling.

- To enhance adhesion resistance of smooth surfaces of gypsum, lime, and cement-based plasters by creating a two-sided binder.

- Consumption: Depending on the surface's absorption and smoothness, EPO KONTAKT consumption is 150-250 g/m². The consumption of the water-mixed product is 210-375 g/m².

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Surface Preparation  

The surfaces must be sound, dry, durable, dust-free, clean, and properly dimensioned. All types of oil, rust, and paraffin residues that weaken adhesion must be completely removed, leaving no small fragments.

Mixing

Pour 10 kg of EPO KONTAKT into a special bucket and add 1% of the product's mass in water. Mix with a 400-600 rpm mixer for 3-5 minutes until a uniform solution is obtained.

Application 

Apply the mixed and ready-to-use product to the pre-prepared surface with a brush. Since EPO KONTAKT rapidly absorbs the surface's water, the surface's absorption capacity should be checked before use. Plastering with cement and especially gypsum-based plasters can be started on the EPO KONTAKT-coated surfaces 24 hours after the product has dried.

Recommendations  

If the temperature of the surface where EPO KONTAKT is used is below +5°C or above +30°C, ensure the required temperature is maintained. It should not be used on exterior surfaces. It is important to keep the primer clean both during and after use. EPO KONTAKT is not suitable for high humidity environments (e.g., bathrooms, saunas, swimming pools, etc.). The product should be mixed regularly during use.

Available in 15 L and 7.5 L plastic buckets.

Use protective clothing, gloves, goggles, and a mask during application. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. For detailed information, refer to the Safety Data Sheet. The given consumption values are general guidelines and may vary depending on application conditions and surface characteristics.
