Preparation of equipment
Therefore, do not be surprised if only 13 kg of cement fits into a 10-liter bucket instead of the expected 31 kg due to the density of this material. It should be taken into account that, for example, a 200-liter portable concrete mixer can make 1 cubic meter of concrete in an hour. If this amount is not enough, then you need to install several concrete mixers or simply order the delivery of ready-mixed concrete.
Preparation of the mixture
Depending on the type of concrete, cement and filler are selected. Try to follow the manufacturer's instructions for the mixture components as closely as possible. There is no need to concentrate the components of the mixture to prepare a larger amount of solution. All ingredients are simply poured into a container for preparation, otherwise there is a risk of simply transferring the mixture. After loading the main components, pour a small amount of water and start adding the filler. When a solution of the desired consistency is prepared, gradually add water and filler. If the mixture is too liquid, add a little filler, on the contrary, if it is too viscous, use the appropriate additive. In such cases, it is forbidden to add water.
It is necessary to mix the prepared solution for a little more than 5 minutes, too long mixing will cause the components to separate. You must use the entire mixture before it starts to harden. Usually it is an hour and a half, if the air temperature is more than 20 ° C, then casting should be done within an hour.
